The biggest lie of the weight loss

In every field there are some lies and beliefs that make people not move forward with their results. In the weight loss industry there are many, since it is so big and lucrative field. Some of them have been spread for commercial purposes. Others have just been inherited by our grand parents. The biggest and most important in my opinion is the one of not eating at all when we are trying to lose weight (or as we say in Italy dimagrire ). This is really bad and i am still surprised to see how many people believe in this. Eating too few calories during the day compared to the daily amount we should have leads the metabolism to slow down. This entails that fewer calories are burnt at rest and during the day. If this situation is endured for long, a significant part of the lean mass can be literally eaten by our body, in order to survive. The result is that when the period of the diet is over, all those lost pounds will be regained very quickly.
